    Hello Everyone!

It's December, end of the year, and I hope for all of you a happy time filled with celebrations. I haven't got a Theme image handy so I thought I'd post something that will at least make you smile.

So here's a Chachma Baboon foraging in a tree, frame captured in the Kruger Park in October. Lighting conditions not too bad, subject was hidden in the foliage and came out from time to time, he gave me quite a look here

Note the pouches, they are filled with freshly picked leaves and flowers too, faint marks of pollen on his face.

    Techs:

    Nikon D5
    Nikon 500 F4
    ISO 640
    F6.3
    1/2000s

Hope you all have a wonderful week ahead. And thank you all for your wonderful contributions to the Wildlife Forum this year, you guys are awesome

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Gabriela -- Lovely framing and those eyes just makes the image for me. The foliage has provided a nice natural frame and the subject stands out nicely against it. Excellent timing on getting the pouches all filled up and the leaf sticking out of its mouth.

Details are very nice and you have handled the light nicely as well. A very good image , enjoyed viewing it.

    TFS !

Gabriela this is a very appealing image, I find myself looking at this one repeatedly, it's not just one but look carefully both cheeks are bulging and he is giving you a more than casual glance as if to say, " what are you up top lady?" I like the composition, if it is not full frame I would be tempted to include a little more foliage as a frame.

    Many thanks Haseeb and Jon:)

I will have a look at the RAW tonight, Jon -thinking I must have had some good reason to take so much off the bottom... but I cannot remember what it was

Love the look on this guy. What is this lady with the camera doing here i think is what he is thinking. The composition works very well. Great details. Like all the green around him.

Hi Gabriela, wow look at those cheeks.

Nicely framed and I like the behavioural aspect. I think going for more DoF ie f/11 would have been good, but also playing with the lights & shadows in the face to create more form.
