These sandpipers were observed in a huge flock on a nearby lake. Due to the lack of rain in Brisbane (driest November on record) I was able to make my way over the mudflats to the water's edge. However, the birds were still some distance away. This is a fairly large crop as I wanted to focus on the Sandpipers with their reflections that were most in focus. This is my first venture into a more or less high key style. I didn't have my 1.4x extender with me, which I know would have got me closer
