    EOS EF400DOI f5.6 1/2000 ISO 400
Sat at the beginnings of one nest with female(I presume) sleeping on a yet small nest from before sunrise with best spot for sun angle and background. Waited till 45 mins after full sunrise with no male fly-in. So, I finally moved on. On a further away pond apple two GBHs were fighting over the area they were trying to get branches from. Both tugging away at live pond apple branches with no success. This was created as this beauty pushed out neck feathers as a rival was getting closer to the right of the frame. I did see the BG foilage was still in shadow even though well after sunrise and this beauty was in direct light as I was slightly off sun angle. This was cropped from horizontal and some off the top as other bird was clipped far right in the frame.

EOS R? Generic but nice. The WHITEs are a bit greyed out. -- check the RGB numbers on the brightest WHITEs; they should be at least in the mid-230s ... Wako?

Hopefully whiter whites and brighter overall. Sometimes I tug on sliders while looking at one particular area and don't review for the whole image. Also tightened crop.

Sorry, forgot, yes wako. Yes generic except for R mount. Faster communication with more throughput allows better performance and control of lens. Also low light performance (including AF) very good. AF not there yet. I believe that is a processor/software speed issue and will be much better in future. I don't think they have completely sorted how to deal with so many focus points. For instance, for single shot you can get a smaller(presumably more precise) focus box. Servo does not have smaller box option. Both box sizes in viewfinder must contain many actual AF points. Haven't played enough with all AF settings and am looking forward to firmware update.
    Peace,
    David

WHITEs are much better. Learn to check the RGB values for the highlight during the RAW conversions ... Lots on the blog if you do a search or learn it all plus tons more in Digital Basics II.

Hi David, Thanks. By generic I meant the photo -- a GBH standing on a bush. Generic like tens or hundreds of thousands of images I have made over the past 3 1/2 decades so don't take it personally!

    with love, artie

Got it. Assume nothing ever taken personally!! I spent 1 hour that morning looking for the non generic but nests are just beginning. Besides, by your definition everything I image is going to be generic
