    Default Greater Yellowlegs

There is a spot fairly close to my house that has a large sand dune behind it. Late in the evening when the sun is at just the right angle, the light hits a small corner of the water perfectly and the reflection of the sand dune in the distance turns the water a beautiful orange. It is super easy to get blue water or green water, but getting fall colored water or something else is very difficult. So I set up in the only spot where I could get the colorful water that I wanted and waited for a bird to walk where I wanted them to.

I admire your field craft Isaac, and enjoy reading about how you got the shot... Its a wonderful thing to observe how light can entertain us and then plan for the shot. This is a lovely image, BG and creamsicle water is unique. IQ, SH, and perfect HA makes this yellowleg a delight, well done.

Patience is an underrated virtue. You can't buy it and new technology doesn't help it. Shorebirds are great that way. If you get low and give them time, they'll totally trust you. This result is
great. The details, pose, and colors are all excellent.

I like the point of view. It really helps us getting low to the subject.

    The background colors are amazing.

    Thanks for sharing.
