    Where I am, mallards are easy to find and approachable. They can swim, walk, run, and fly. They fly pretty fast, too, but they're not too small to make duck-in-flight shot very challenging (not like those 46mph flying tree swallows). So here's another duck shot from me :D

    S5 105 f2.8 macro VR; f5 1/800 ISO 250; no flash; shutter priority.

    Mcro lens for mallards !!!! :) Looks you had to crop some here?

    Got two good head angles, like the female's wing position (and male) maybe just a little more separation !! Looking good!!!!

    I was right by the water and the mallards were close by, hence even a macro lens would do :) Cropped about 16 % may be.

    birds look good!!! do wish they were separated a bit more. i would have sworn that image was flashed!!
