Hi Jon, the deer seem very tolerant of folk, great, but I hope this doesn't mean that some folk may get a little too close because of the Deer's attitude.

Again, some nice warm light and I like the low POV. Personally I might have moved more to the LHS if possible, so the rack was ALL against the bark. The black marks on the tree bark are a bit unfortunate, perhaps remove them??? Have you tried what I suggested before re the BKG to lessen the sootiness? I thought you could lose some off the RHS, but I quite like the curve and the Autumnal background there.

    TFS

Thanks Steve, I did take several images from slightly differing perspectives, as you go more round the the left the background contained unwanted people dogs etc!
I didn't use the anti sooty trick ......but I will investigate.

Hi Jon, the colors and skin texture is so vivid, I feel like caressing it ! BG colors also add to the image appeal. Very nicely done. Curious, what is anti sooty trick?

    Hello Jon,

I also feel like touching the velvety coat of this lovely deer:)

Beautiful light, love this frame and its colours. Especially the yellows in the background, they add lots of warmth. Those patches on the tree trunk - must be shadows? I see a little bit of moss on the RHS:)

Framing is nice, I like it. Good techs, well exposed frame and nice DoF. POV is great. A delightful image well processed, I enjoyed viewing. Looks like a page from a story book Thank you so much for sharing, Jon.

PS. Sorry to come in so late, this time of the year things get very hectic for me at work.

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Nice view of this buck. Looks very relaxed or tired or both. Love those colors in the background. Details look good.

Looking good Jon, but I must say I liked the other one better, on a personal level. Again, the POV and surroundings makes this deer feel well at home and relaxed.
