Bird look great with excellent IQ. You have captured the action well.
I like the berry in the bill and the raised wing.
Just wish you did not have the tree on the RHS in BG. It pulls my eye away.

Spectacular bird, pose, image, and berry in the bill. The raised wing and the framing are killer. I like the completely o-o-f tree on the right side of the image as it does not merge with the bird and frames the action nicely. From where I sit the breast and the face could stand to be opened up a bit. No worries, I should have my new monitor soon .

    with love, artie

ps: I would lose the small bit of whitewash on the perch above the bird. I am gonna assume that this is not a set-up. Please confirm that.

Thanks Gail, Artie, I can indeed confirm not a set up. The birds are migrants and the congregate in various industrial parks, this is because they have lots of berry-laden trees at this time of year. I am hoping waxwings will be following.

Nice one Jon, great timing and I like the warm Autumnal colours on this one too. Still too warm for any of these to come South, guess the Waxwings will be next, but Will may have a head start? Love the berry in the bill. Might remove the white on the branch above the head.

Well captured Jon..not an easy bird, especially with a great pose, like this one. Perch is brilliant and the frame looks so natural for these birds. A few waxwings in Perthshire but not arrived in Fife as yet, but they are deffo in the post

This is great, particularly the raised wing. Glad also that you caught the whole twig and bunch of berries at the bottom. Makes for a pretty sweet composition! Berry in beak is icing on cake.

One of your best for a while Jon, typical fieldfare location and the wing positioning is a real bonus
