    ... sits in the old gum tree. Actually, not a gum tree, but it is a laughing kookaburra. In the carpark at Mossman Gorge.
    1/1000, f4, ISO500. Processed in LR.

    Pretty neat looking bird. The bird looks a little too tight in the frame.

    Colors look muted to me. Flash might be too low

    Processing looks totally unnatural to me with the bird way, way too dark. The stem coming out of the base of the tail is an image killer for me. And yes, it is too tight all around.

    Beautiful bird with nice perch Greg! A little under exposed though and lacking a touch of contrast. This is my humble take on it.

    Thanks for the comments all. I agree it is too tight, but this is essentially full frame - no more above or left. I moved back after this but he flew away. I would too if I had wings.
