This beauty allowed me a close approach. The GBHs are beginning the pairing off rituals and this one looks ready with those blue lores.

Lovely image and bird. The ultramarine blue lores rock. You might wish to clean up the largest white speck on the bill. And I would not mind a bit more room in front and at the bottom. All but the neck feathers are showing lots of details. Very sharp on the eye with a perfect EXP.

Pretty good details considering the lens combo. Nice pose but I agree with Artie re the crop. Your yellows are over saturated by about 15 points or so and this is causing some haze in the whole shot. I would reduce that and also add a few points of black to the neutrals of the bird in selective color which will help show a bit more of the definition of the bird. I would also run Arties DE/TC 30/30 recipe on the bird to eke out a bit more details.

Sweet looking great blue. The background is great and the pose as well. Details look quite good.

This bird looks like he is ready to go. I agree with comments re crop. Overall a compelling image of this species which I usually find is hard to do well.

I love the detail in this and other than wishing for a bit more space on the right it's perfect!
