Good job on focusing on the nearest bird. I do not think that it would have been possible to get enough d-o-f to get both birds sharp at 850mm...

Surprisingly I actually like that twig in this case. It kinda makes the male look coy in trying to get the female's attention. I love the eye colour comparision.
