ISO 800, f/8, 1/5000 sec
Matrix Metering, Manual Mode


Post processing:-
Capture One Pro, Affinity photo
Noise Reduction using Neat Image.
Raised Shadows a little.

Really love the feel of this image. The sparkly OOF FG and BG work for me. Even though the subject is backlit (I think), plenty of detail. To my eye, the darker tones of the bird draw my eye in this one (just the opposite of the usual case). Would love to have this one as a horizontal with the subject lower right. TFS

I would however reduce the space above the bird slightly.

Very artistic image. I prefer the bird without a head turn as I feel it preserves the symmetry of the image. Love the OOF sparkly circles.

Ditto all the positives above and kudos for trying something different. It's not the head angle that is the slight problem, it is the subject to sensor plane orientation i.e., the whole bird is angled ever-so-slightly away from us.
