I like the way we see 2 egrets in the Frame.

I wish the head angle of the right bird to be a bit better

    Hello John,

    What a joyful merry picture.
The action makes this a nice picture!

Gonna have to start calling you rain man... Love everything about this one. White birds on dark BG, exposure of said birds, sense of action and interaction (HAs perfect here). TFS

Lovely shot John! The bird on the right seems to be slamming on the brakes in mid-air!

Is it my imagination or is the bill (face?) of the guy on the right just a touch out of focus - not too much to be fixed in PP?

Nearly perfect poses -- bummer on the bird on the right looking away. I love this frame for capturing the peak of the action. The brightest WHITEs were 233, 233, 233 so they could have gone a bit brighter. For the repost, I ran a Selective Color layer, went to the WHITE channel, and removed 40 points of BLACK by moving the slider to the left. This is just one of hundreds of Photoshop tips in Digital Basics II.

Thanks. You executed a good crop. What AF Area Selection Mode? Where was the active AF point?

Thanks Arthur, AF area would be AF Surround. The one with 9 points. Active AF point on the left egret's neck. Just below the head.
