    Default Three dog night

My wife and I had a fantastic late afternoon tracking and trying to keep pace with a pack of Wild Dog that were hunting, first Warthog, then Impala, and after many frantic chases with no success, the leading trio called it quits @ sunset.

Left a hint of FG/BG detail for more depth in the scene avoiding a full silhouette.

Love the title of this one. Very sweet scene to look at. The glow of the sky is nice. I'm sure a full silhouette would look great.

Hi Marc - I love this one and think leaving the bit of detail and depth really takes it up a notch, especially with the dogs on this side of the water. Good choice. Beautiful sunset colors too. Nice one.

Pure magic! Intriguing beautiful ethereal... petty darned good for me just right. I can just imagine you getting the shot going back to camp and having a snifter and then reviewing the image what could be better?

They sure were positioned well for you to make the most of this.
I like the hint of FG/dog detail too, and the framing + exposure overall is well done.

    Hello Marc,

I like the composition here and the fact that you managed to retain and enhance those beautiful sunset colours - wonderful work, Marc!

There's a hint of mystery to this frame and the wild dogs seem preoccupied and still on the go...My thoughts? Perhaps the hunt isn't over yet...
Hope you have a wonderful rest of the evening, I must say I took such pleasure viewing - thank you so much for sharing

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

They managed a kill very early next morning Gabriela.
As this was a new moon period, the hunt was over for this particular evening, as WD are very reluctant to hunt after dark unless aided during the full moon period, which they had done some 10 nights ago, killing an impala right in front of camp around 9.00pm.

Awesome! I know they don't hunt at night because of lions etc. but in this frame it looks a bit like unfinished business, I like the alert pose from those chaps:)

Tell me Marc, what animal is in the BG, far away? WB? Just curious

Hope you have a great week ahead,

    Gabriela

They do give that impression of unfinished business for sure!

The antelope in the far BG was a Kongoni (Hartebeest) that soon took off before it was on their menu.
