Hi Andrew - A very nice portrait of the fox. I like the frame filling comp and the dof looks spot on. The hls on the left side as viewed look recovered a bit but not sure there was much you could do. Always nice to have you posting in Wildlife.

Hi Andrew, I'm glad you posted this, you have some great images and so please do share here, it's much appreciated.

Nice winter light and overall colour palette, however I am guessing you ETTR, but had a minimal of clipping on the HL's to ensure the shadow area of the face didn't go too dark and so you would then need to lift the image (not ideal) and personally, I would do the same. You don't mention if this is FF or cropped, therefore if it is a crop and you have it, then a bit more negative space to the LHS I think would strengthen the overall comp.

Very nice. Like the backlighting and the pose on the fox. The square crop is nice as well.

Hi Andrew .. a lovely portrait with good clarity , brilliance across the tonal and color range .
Comp does work well as an " inyourface " image ...well done.
The winter fur does look very nice !!! Well controlled backlight ...with loads of detail , looks like lying snow might have helped with light from the bottom .

    Nice IQ

Thanks so much folks for the comments and suggestions.

Steve...yes I did a slight crop to center the fox more within the comp but liked your suggestion so I decided to go back and rework the image to keep a bit more on the left.
