John - Isn't this the same image you posted the previous day? If it is a different frame from the same sighting, it has the same issues with respect to focus.

John I think this is better than the previous but it still displays similar shortcomings. Were you using single point or multiple point AF zone - where was/were the point(s) positioned?

Hi John apart from the technical issues , mentioned by Rachel and Jon , i quite like the image in terms of content .
The really big stag , standing up to his belly in the greenery , does look good to me . Personally i would go cooler ...in the WB .

Hello John,
Your Elk sports a massive rack, wonder how much it weighs...He is really impressive. And buried in vegetation so not sure how long his limbs are, to me it seems there's just not enough space at the bottom. Judging by a few repetitive patterns it does look like you tried adding some canvas?
I am afraid subject's face looks a bit soft, John. Not sure it is a DoF or focus issue, looking at your techs F8 should have been enough. Could be the SS.
Such a lovely sighting. I enjoyed viewing and it's a lovely image despite those few issues - hope you have more opportunities to photograph this species, and I thank you so much for sharing
Kind regards,

Uploaded the wrong frame the other day. Meant to upload this one. It is slightly sharper. It's not tack sharp but it is sharp enough for me.

Hi John - Next time, please upload it in the same thread as a rp with an explanation rather than starting a new thread.
