Another day at the local loch. BHG in winter plumage. These gulls are really good to practice on when doing BIF. Pretty fast with different flight poses. Again, the BG is the shaded part of the loch with over hanging trees which gives a great effect with the white birds.

This is a beauty, Will. Almost a studio look to it. Great detail and tonality on the wing, nicely framed head. Good work.

This is a striking image William. Really beautiful. The bird looks fantastic against that dark background and you have processed this vey well. Bird is beautifully sharp with soft feather details. Man that is a pretty view of the front wing. My only wish was that the head was facing us and not angled away. I think that would take things over the top. Even with that I think this is one of the best, if not the best image I have ever seen of this species.

Great flight capture, William. Love the contrast and the fine feather detail. Excellent wing and tail positions also.

Love the white bird against that dark background. The pose is great on this one.

Really beautiful and dramatic image. Great exposure and feather detail throughout. More engaging head angle would have made this spectacular.

What a great looking capture William. Nice exposure, pose and beautiful feather details. I agree, if the bird was looking your way a bit more it would really elevate this one even further. Very well done.

Yes, the dorsal surface of the near-wing is spectacular and the black background adds drama but the birds's head angled well way from us and the dirty chin leaves me wishing ...
