    Default Giants of Etosha

Had to sneak another B&W in here before the month theme ends.

I've posted previous photos in this close-up low-angle series, however they were all processed with an infra-red feel (dark sky, brighter subjects).
This one was done leaning more towards "high-key" though it's not a high-key in the strict sense of the term.

    Techs:
    Nikon D3s
    Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 @ 62mm
    f8.0 | 1/250 SS | ISO-720

Hi Morkel ... oh great you posted images from M..... again . I do love them so much !!!!
All does work well here for me ....nice work .
Funny due to the use of the lens and the low perspective .... the Giraffes appear as if these are a pygmy version of them . But all the animals in the BG are giving a nice §D feel to the frame.
The Ellie does look great in terms of tone and contrast .

    Nice one ....

    TFS Andreas

Love the textures on the elephant. The black and white looks very good. The giraffes are a nice bonus.

A very attractive image, I like the perspective here and composition. Elephant looks like a giant in comparison to the giraffe and zebra and the textures of its skin stand out sharply against the spotless background.
To me this frame is all about depth and dimension - nice thinking Morkel

Hi Morkel - I think I like this even better with the bright sky. The low pov is great and so is the detail and texture on the ele. The other animals take this over the top. Nice one.

Really impressive he looks enormous, yet the giraffes so small! The only thing I would suggest is the hide of the ele looks very craggy and rough, if is this "Clarity" if so I would suggest backing off a little.

Its a magic image that does a great job of portraying the immense presence of these giants. The conversion adds power to the image and i agree that the depth and bg animals make it even better

The underground bunker, coupled with a wide angle lens makes the image here Morkel.
