    Default Stripes on the ridge.

A herd of zebra gather on top of a ridge, hesitant to come down to drink after sensing lions close by.

Having a couple of them with their backsides to me wasn't ideal but I could have waited for hours and still not have them all lined up and facing me.

I like! Zebras works so well in mono (for obvious reasons). Nice setting, dramatic clouds and overall tonal range to make it work.
If anything I can see it working with a hint more brightness in midtones and highlights?

Nice pano crop on this one and those clouds are very nice. The zebras balance the frame well. The black and white treatment works.

Hi Marc - There's usually one or two who won't cooperate. This works well in b&w but I agree with Morkel's suggestion to go a little brighter, giving it a bit more tonal variation. That sky is dramatic and enhances nicely.

Hi Marc ...well a good idea of trying this one and the approach to it .
For me the not lined up zebras are working well ....Generally a nice solid conversion , but could be if you like .... enhanced .
Not a bad suggestion by Morkel and Rachel .
There are two technical issues for me ( at least at this size ) , the FG and the zebras are looking like being part of another image and you have copied the BG into this frame . Looks almost like a composing .... the issue is the halos around the zebras ( all around them ) . I think it is just a making issue .
    Sky does look nice

I can guarantee this is not a composite , and struggling to see any PP halos, at 1400px nor @ full resolution Andreas and not seeing comments from anyone else who is seeing this either??

As i said ... looks like a composite , not said it is one !!!!
I do not care what others see ....or not see .
Maybe the use of the word halo was wrong .....
All tails and manes , legs and bodys of most of the Zebras do have lighter fringes / or lighter fur along the edge of each animal ....where does this come from ?

But no problem for me .... not my frame !!!
