Default Kamtchatka Brown Bear on the move

    Attached Images Attached Images

Hi folks .... i am in bear mood .
More to follow from my side .
This time an image from the Kuril Lake , again taken under rainy conditions even if rain was not that bad as the previous image i posted . At that location there was a hide , where we were able to have shelter from time to time .
I like this one for its dynamic and the gorgeous low shooting angle .... which was not always possible .

    Canon EOS 1Dx II
    Ef 200 - 400 IS L with TC engaged ( 560 mm )
    Tripod
    Angleviewfinder

    F 6,3 ; Iso 4000 ; 1/2000 sec ; Man Exp ; Auto Iso

Processed with DPP and PSCC 2019 ; cropped and levelled slightly to 90 % of FF

Thanks for watching and commenting to previous image ...

    Cheers Andreas

Love this running open mouth pose in anticipation of food moment here Andreas. Agree......a nice dynamic low POV pose.

I like how the bear pops from the drab overcast conditions. Print this LARGE

To achieve a result like this on a grey overcast day shows just what can be achieved when you know what you are doing. AMAZING IMAGE

Oh this is good! I know how difficult it is to get the image well detailed and also not noisy in these conditions, this is good work! No negative comments from me.

It works Andreas, but if you have it, then a sliver more on the LHS?

Great capture here! I'd like to see a bit more of the claws coming out of the water, but that would be called nit-picking. Really nice all round.

Hi Andreas, this really works with water splash, sharp details, and nice colors. On my monitor it seems eyes are under slight shadow. If this was mine I would try to dodge area around the eyes and brighten the eyes so that viewer has greater engagement with the subject. I think that will take the image even further.

Thanks Jay , Sanjeev , Greg ; Morkel and John for your kind comments , much appreciated .

Jay - thanks for your thoughts , for me there is no need to dodge the eye and surroundings . Looks completely natural to me ....

    Thanks Andreas

Hi Andreas - Fantastic action image with excellent tones, particularly well controlled hls of the splash. I wouldn't touch the eyes. It all works as is.

    Rachel
