    Default breeding marbled godwit

One of my favorite places, in the water with the birds! This handsome adult had been probing for food and has a bit of wetness to the top of his head. I prefer the orange to the pinkish colored beak and waited for a good angle to isolate this candidate from the other six or seven godwits.
Full frame, no crop. added a few pts black, sharpened, NR

    Very very nice!
    Perfect POV and perfect HA.
    IQ is excellent.
I might be tempted to dodge the black wave line but not a big issue for me,

Like the low angle and the pose on the godwit. The out stretched neck is pretty neat. Light looks nice.

Very nice alert pose here Ann. Low perspective makes the shot. I would warm the bird up a little bit and double check the highlights on the area just under the beak at the top of the neck. Also is the orange of the base of the beak a bit too saturated? I have never seen one in full breeding plumage but I think it is a bit more muted. This is a species that I have photos of from long ago that I would love to get a shot like this of.

This is really nice, Ann. You were wise to get one with the orange beak (they've all gone pink by the time they migrate to me in CA). Agree the image could be warmed a touch but the exposure across the entire bird looks good.

Well done Ann, lovely looking frame. I really like the alert pose and the POV. IQ looks good, I would be more than happy with this one.

Looks great Ann! Nice spicy pose and I love the beak color, pops so well. Details and exposure look good too. I would be tempted to clean up the catch light in the eye but otherwise a sweet image. Well done

Where? Head angle is perfect. But cCount me as the odd man out. The orange is too hot/bright. The dark line through the neck is an image killer for me. And the wet misplaced feathers, especially about the head, are less than ideal.
