This is a pic that I had taken recently with my D300, 80-400mm, f/6.3, 1/200 shutter speed, -1/3 EV, ISO200 at 220mm. Comments appreciated!

Wonderful image I like it loads!!! Might be tempted to get rid of the funky stuff in the front. Great face and detail!!!

I like this a lot too. I also think some of the stuff in front should be removed. Try cropping just above it.

This is very sharp though. Nice capture.

Thank You everyone! I was pretty pleased with this shot myself when I took it. Although there was a stick in front of him that I was able to get rid of FINALLY!! LOL!!! The little green stuff is duck weed! He peeked over the bank when I was kneeling down and I think we both were surprised!!! Everyone is so wonderful here at BPN!!! Thanks for all the comments and help!

Shellie - awesome shot - well done.

Some nice reflections in his eye - I did a little work on the eye - hope you dont mind. (Shadow/Highlight - sharpen)

Hi shellie - its very easy once you get used to it....

Use your selection tool (third icon down in the toolbar) use whichever is easiest for you to select the EYE ONLY.
You then get the border around the selected area.
I then went to image adjustments - shadow/highlight adjusted that until I was happy.
Then went to filter- sharpen - usm and adjusted that until I was happy.

Lots of different ways to do the same thing - you should really do it on a seperate layer etc and each image is different so you just play with whats available until you get the result you want.

    hope that helps.
