A lovely low POV John, I like the HA and the environment. Nice composition too. Good techs.

    ISO 16,000
A HUGE welcome to the 'Very high ISO' club.

I much prefer this comp and setting John and IQ could be better irrespective of the high ISO (just need to hone LR), but big thumbs up on not allowing the moment to be lost with being hesitant on techs.

Hi John what a nice looking specimen and fully rack ...well captured .
All does work well for me in tone and color , just the blacks a bit heavy i think . As you have lost some detail in them.
I might drop the sharpening across the image and treat the noise a bit more in the BG.
Pretty good for the High Iso .
    Well done TFS

I like it John good result for High ISO, the darkest tones are just a little too dark a slight lift makes a significant difference, I think you did a good job.

Hi John- Nice look at the big bull elk. I agree about the darkest tones and might also darken the greens of the evergreen branch above and behind the elk. I would prefer it if the tree trunk wasn't coming out of the back but it looks like that would be hard to avoid in this location.

    TFS,
    Rachel
