Taken back in late April this year. It was a good year for imaging warblers. We had a very cold extended early spring such that many trees and shrubs were 2-3 weeks behind their normal
break in dormancy. There was a lot of open canopy and bare branches when warblers started arriving and migrating through. This is one of my better Yellow warbler images. I might have
gotten a little carried away with sharpening for posting. A straight size reduction didn't seem to convey the sharpness of the image. I did remove some OOF branches from the top third of
the image and cloned out a shadow that was dark enough that dodging couldn't correct. Light noise reduction(Topaz DeNoise) and light sharpening(Topaz InFocus) on the bird and much
heavier noise reduction on the background. Basically full frame.

Great pose, head angle, and sharpness. To me this one screams for more room above.

I went back and checked my raw files and found I had another image in the sequence with some higher branch detail.
Opened up the image and cloned it over. Hopefully a little better.
Thanks; the repost is much better. I am curious about the apparent dark feathers on the very top of the head ... Or is that a shadow? Or did you do some work there? Something looks a bit funky ...

Perfect BG, HA and catchlight in the eye.
A little bit oversharpened but not a big issue.
Light was a bit harsh but you controlled the yellows quite well.
Did you do something near the top of the head? The head feathers look a bit green around the edge. Perhaps a selection issue when cloning?

The bird is still a bit big in the frame on the repost, but much better than the OP. Very sharp, and the yellows look great (except for the top of the head as mentioned already). Perfect head turn you got from this warbler.
You are correct. I did some cloning when removing OOf stuff behind the head. I always do a little feathering when I select and mask.
I am partially red/green color blind. I can't tell there is a green tinge there.
