Another from my time with them at the weekend. Black Headed Gull, Juve, in winter plumage. The BG is Autumn trees reflecting on the loch.

Love everything but the far wing position. EXP, SH, and inquisitive look are great. The dorsal views of the near-wing and the tail are spectacular.

The killer BG and HA make this image for me.
Bird had a 3D feel to it.
    Whites look great.

Something different as far as poses go - gulls never cease to give good stuff. Excellent BG. I like the bill slightly ajar, it adds to the overall pose :-)

The raised/curious head and the fanned wing detail are fantastic! He really looks great on that smooth BG! A really pleasing image...

Flight pose is great. The dark green background really makes the bird pop.

Hi Will, the Gull certainly pops against the dark foliage BG, and what a great view of the near wing. We are so used to BIF, but immediately one can see the unusual 'raised' head in flight here.

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated.. I managed a few frames of this bird, but like you, I liked the 'different' HA on this one.
