    Default female snow bunting

Here's the mate to the male snow bunting I posted a few weeks back. Both of them were busy collecting bugs for their chicks in Iceland early in July. I liked the windswept white feathers exposing the black down. I think I see some bluish whites, those especially swept feathers near the wing.
I did desaturate the yellows, as the golden lichen can be overpowering.

Hi Ann...What a great looking image. The IQ on the bird is beautiful. The BG and perch show the habitat well. Lovely HA. The blueish whites under the wing can be easily 'fixed' if you desaturated them on the blue channel. but I like it as it is, and they don't bother me. Well done.

I actually like this little honey better than the male. The colors are lovely and so is she. SH, image design, and BKGR are all excellent. In a perfect world there would be a bit more room behind the tail but I can more than live with this as presented.

How sweet. Great setting, perfect head turn. IQ is spot on. I particularly like the texture on the head. Nicely captured.

This is nice but I think the exposure could go up by a third of a stop. Lifting the exposure would eliminate the slight blues in the white feathers.
Good call on reducing the yellows.
    Perfect head turn.
Do you have a bit more room on RHS?
    Nice pic of this sweetie-pie!

Very nice pose and image quality. I don't know, there is just something about a high quality Canon image that feels right to me. I agree with Gail re the exposure and the room on the right.

Looking good. Nice low angle. Really enjoy the colors throughout the background.

I love the raised feathers along the top of the head. Nice setting this individual was sitting in as well.

Hi Ann, lovely eye level perspective here, and what wonderful plumage detail you have brought out. Overall nice and sharp, good HA, and the yellow lichen adds to the overall image. Nice work.

Great one. Really love the color the lichen on the rocks adds to the image, especially in the BG. Tack sharp on the bird and rich colors. Nice head angle.
