    Captured this image in 2011 at a local frozen lake one late foggy afternoon. As I recall it had warmed up quite a bit for a February day. C&C welcome.

    D700, Nikon 24-120mm @ 120mm, 1/1250s, HH, f 9.0, ISO 500

    Slight crop from top for composition.

    I like the BG, so wintery. Easy to say now, but, I think it would look better if the gull was low in frame.

    I like the image design and the concept. But way, way too dark for me. I brightened it by miles and blurred the trees with the Clarity slider moved to the left.

    Thanks William, and Artie. William, thanks for your thoughts on a lower position of the gull. I think that might be close to the tops of the tree line in BG. Artie, thanks for your repost, but the original is very close to the way it looked that afternoon, which I was trying to maintain.
