I have not been active here due to real life commitments (MBA + work + family = not much photography or free time).
    Sorry folks

Trying to get back into at least processing my huge backlog of photos and posting more regularly.

This is from our trip through Namibia in late 2016.

    Hi Morkel

Welcome back..!! Understand the pressures of life and Family getting in the way of photography, the bad news is that although i am old enough to have retired i am still too busy looking after the grand kids to get to the camera as much as i want. Never stops... and i wouldn't have it any other way.. Actually i have been called back to my old work for a couple of months as well...

Now the photo.. Love Sand dunes..! I love the simple elegance in the curves and textures most sand dunes have and I think B&W seems to work best to emphasise that. The strongest points in this image for me is the textures and shadow play in the FG dune. Not so sure about the BG hills however, probably because they are not dunes and lack those curves...

Nicely framed scene Morkel. I quite like the selected f-stop to allow the distant dunes to be out of focus. Hope to see more images soon!

Morkel. This is a very interesting and different take on sand dunes, which I really like. Something different always sparks my interest. I'm also undecided on the background mountains...not the same visual impact for me.
