Image captured at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Late summer or early fall depending on when the Fire Flag plant blooms the Purple Gallinule's move into the edges of those plants to feed on the blossoms. For reasons I do not know the blossoms attract them like iron to a magnet. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Hello Joe,
I like this a bunch, colors are wonderful and such details. I like the behavior and the bent stems of the Fire Flag are interwoven with those fabulous bog clenching feet. I also like the body against the leaves without an obstruction. Well done Joe, always a lovely bird to photograph and you have a marvelous image here!
Well done in relatively harsh light. The had could go a bit brighter.

Thse are such wonderful birds, and you've shown his color nicely. He's a bit tight in the frame, so maybe you can give a little back on the crop. Head angle is tough as there's no eye contact...
