    Love these flight shots you have been posting. I think this one is my favorite. Tack sharp on the butterfly nice flower with a killer background.

    Great image! great sharpness @ f/5.6 and vivid colors. Do you prefocus on the flower and wait for the butterfly to come into focus?

    Ravi, I focus on the butterfly when it is on the flower and shoot bursts trying to time when it flies off the flower. This technique means a lot of frames shot for just a few keepers.

    This is quite an amazing, astounding frame. But to my old eyes it looks as if the far upper wing is a bit sharper than the near underwings.
