The title for this image came from a iconic image by Thomas D. Mangelsen of a brown bear standing at the top of a waterfall as a salmon leaps into its open mouth. In this case the Anhinga is flipping the catfish into the are hoping to catch it in the head first position to swallow. I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. The image is one of a series of photos as the Anhinga kills, works to position the fish for swallowing and eventually swallows it. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

P.S. Some may have seen this image before. After a couple of updates and improvements to Lightroom and a new computer display I reprocessed the image.

Ditto all the positives above. You might have a go at lightening the red iris ... Oh, I almost forgot, this is a very excellent image.
