    A gannet taking a little bit of time out to ensure the feathers are all in order. Didn't change from my flight settings so I should have dropped the ISO but as its not too far off full frame I think I got away with it tis time.

    Hi Mike, It's the eye! Lovely exposure on the gannet and preening pose you captured. I like the sliver of foot with the green stripe showing. I would wish for more of the clifftop to "balance the bird if you have more canvas on the left...

    I like the preening pose, tight composition, perch and how the background picks up on both the color of the eye and the eye ring. Excellent image Mike.

    Nice pose on the bird. The vertical composition works very well. Nice background and good detail throughout.

    That's really rinky tinky Mike,exposure and colours spot on, I have no reservations whatsoever regarding quality.

    Thanks Ann. I tried to keep a bit of extra negative space over on the 'head-side' of the bird but I'll try another crop to see if it improves things
