This was taken off my back porch while sipping a cappuccino with the patio door half open. There is a feeder nearby the canna lilies but its not a setup. It is full frame with natural light. I cloned out one bud at the left bottom of the plant that looked unattached. Hope you enjoy the image

The slightly parted beak with some tongue is a plus. Great background for f6.3.

This is a really great natural light hummer shot, Jim! Composition, bird, background are all perfect to me. Just the right amount of wing blur as well.

Pretty much perfect. A bit of flash on the bird might have helped while avoiding the flash set-up look. Great natural BKGR.

Cant knock this one Jim, great wing position, lovely setting, bird is at a great angle, and a clean BG. Must be great having these in your back garden

Hi Jim, wonderful, the framing, the tongue protruding, and the flower! Wonderful to have them in your backyard. I think there may be a bit of pollen on the beak! TFS

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. It is a pleasure to have them zip around the garden. The background is the lawn.

Hey Jim, nice image. I would like to see a bit more room at top.
