    Hi all,

    A black skimmer taken at the Jersey Shore this summer. Small crop, cloned out one or two small specks in the BG.

    Camera: Nikon D500
    Lens: 300 f/4 PF + 1.4 TC
    Specs: 1/4000 ISO 800 f/5.6

    Perfect light on this guy. It was soft enough that you were able to get the lights and darks! It's often tough to get theirs eyes just right
    and you've managed that well here. Still looking for something similar for my collection.....

    nice banking pose with a good HA and a nice BG. evening light is showing the slight colors on the chest and excellent under wing details. nice one Alex

    A very nice flight frame. SH, EXP, and image design spot on. I love the yellow flanks of high breeding plumage.

    Thanks all, much appreciated. I had a lot of success at this spot for skimmers but unfortunately it looks like it's been closed off to the public, or at least was the last couple times I went. Hopefully next summer I can find a new spot. Best,

    Excellent image Alex. I like the banking pose, light, composition and exposure. I was wondering about the yellow under the wings was natural but then read Arthur's comment about high breeding plumage.
