    I captured this Egyptian Goose gliding through the water half submerged. Normally these guys are making a lot of noise, or attacking each other for no reason. This fellow seemed to be enjoying a quiet moment by himself. Taken at my local pond in Pretoria early morning.

    Hi Stu. We have these birds in Uk and I am always amazed by how beautiful their plumage is, not so much the head though. Well exposed and nice and sharp. I like the way that the eye seems to be looking at you. Agree with a little less water below the bird. TFS.

    Thanks Artie. Yep, in hind sight, a tighter crop below would suit this better. Here is a version with more taken off the bottom. With the elongated swimming pose, more of a pano would work too.

    Hi Stu, what goose? very stealth very cool. I like the flat water and the bow wake by its bill... Nice shadow and eye contact. pretty darn nice Stu
