    Default Baltimore Oriole

Taken out in my backyard earlier this spring. I thought about taking and cropping in a bit tighter on this one... thoughts?

Excellent detail and colors. I would consider a different crop as there is a lot of empty space on the left. You might try a vertical as it will tighten the focus on the bird but still maintain the diagonal element of the branch through the frame.

Beautiful bird and perch. Try a vertical and see how it looks, although I kinda like the tip of the perch :)

Very Nice - think vertical might kill some of its appeal.

Id be happy to leave it as is.

Very nice Mike, I would say keep it as is, this image is as much about the beautiful branch as the bird.

I vote for keeping it as it is. I like the branch with the tip and wouldn't crop anything. Beautiful bird.

Beautiful picture. Nice colors, and as mentioned above the branch is a nice element on the picture.
    Another vote for "AS IS".

I love the crop you have here because I'd hate to see you lose any of that branch. Maybe just a shave off the left side? I had a baltimore oriole in my backyard this spring and never could get him at the feeder - he was so skittish! My hat is off to you!

I'd leave it as is. The somewhat centered bird is OK here as everything is leaning and pointing to the LRC and leaving the ULC empty...good balance. I notice the wet conditions has left a rather bright streak running along the top of the branch (especially from the bird and down)...if you could tone that down a bit that would be cool :-)

    Mike,
I kept trying different crops in my head but each time it didn't work. I love the position of that branch. It adds so much to this photo. I think if you croped it vertically it would kill the wonderful element of that branch. Leave it as is. It's a nice sharp image that I would be proud to call mine. Great job.

Any crop would ruin the compositional balance. Sweet on all counts and way sharp.
