Taken from my back garden hide. I liked the way the bird's pose seemed to reflect the gentle S curve of the dead flower stema and head.(The purple haze top right is OOF buddleia).

Sharp and well designed and the soft tones and colors go well together. The only thing that bugs me is the lack of separation from the bill and the back ...

Beautiful perch and composition! This is a very strong image. I do agree that a more raised head would have really helped. Eye contact is good as it is though.

Love that "S" curve of the perch. Details on the bird look good. Great background.

Hi Jon, good comp, and I like how the perch meanders through the frame. The central placement works well, and good to see the hint of yellow on the Goldfinch.

    Hello Jon,

An attractive frame and I love the composition, well seen and captured!

Good thinking on DoF. BG is great, love the colours and that hint of yellow on the subject.

A well exposed image well processed and presented, TFS!

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
