    I can see why he is called song sparrow. You have obviously chosen this composition because you liked it. I would have initially thought perhaps a portrait shaped image may have been good as there seems to be an lot of empty space in the image as presented, I am not sure it really adds to the presentation?

    I like the bird and perch. Good details. With the light coming from behind the subject a bit of fill-flash would have been good here, or re-position yourself to the other side (which of course, would have likely meant the sparrow would no longer be perching there anyhow).

    Super sharp image of this little singer, John. The perch adds a nice touch of color as well. I also think there is a lot of empty space, so other crops
    might be considered. Also wish you were a tad bit higher (or him lower) but that's in the past, right?
