Hi John, nice pose, expression, details. If IQ allows, I would prefer tighter crop so that there is better separation of subject from the BG which I find a bit distracting.

John I doubt the image would stand much more cropping, the background is beginning to look a little grainy.
I would suggest trying just a little positive clarity to the bear using the brush in LR (as a consequence you may need to lift the shadows a little) and some negative clarity to the background trees along with a little positive NR, this will soften the background.

    Hello John,

This little bear is very cute

I borrowed your image and tried something, see if it makes any difference? Was unsure about the colour of this fellow but I reduced the blues in his fur a bit. Cropped from the top, softened the BG above him in places, played with exposure and gamma on the eye... Then flipped it horizontally

Have a wonderful rest of the week,

    Kind regards,

One of your recent best bear cub images here John, yes the BG is a tad busy but the little fella pops quite nicely from the greenery, I like what Gabriela has achieved in the RP.

Hi John - I really like the pose of the bear hanging over the branches. I like what Gabriela has done in the rp except for the flip

Great pose and eyes. This seems like a rare sight so it's good you caught it like you did. Challenging background but I can live with it anytime.

It's a flippen' cool image and the little bear is so cute Glad everyone likes it, because I like it a lot! I only flipped it for fun, didn't think it made a big difference in this particular case, was just playing around
