Love it, very intense oranges! I'd personally crop away about half of the black at bottom. I like the bird and perch placement :-)

Hey, SId. Where have you been? I've missed your silouettes. THis one is one fire. Stormy feel to it.

Master of Silhouettes at work again :)
The black space at the bottom seems proportionate to me. Lovely sky!!!

Sid, I love the birds' silhouette on the dead tree and the BG, however IMO the lower part of the image where the sun is behind the trees is distracting as somehow that part does not look very natural. Maybe some reprocessing and selectively blending it will make a better presentation. Alternatively I would have zoomed in more to get the bottom part out of the frame.

An almost great image. A little crop makes it great, IMO. The setting sun should be jettisoned because its surroundings are too busy to save.

Get rid of everything from the tips of the BG trees down. Who cares if the actual orb is in the frame? The amazing textures/colors of the rest of the BG sky deserve their 15 minutes of fame.

I don't always advocate this, but IMO the statement's impact is exponentially increased by a tighter framing.

    My take.

    Daniel,

I have to agree with Fabs. With out black at the bottom, I kind of felt there is no balance in image.

Vincent thanks for your time. I do have another image of bird and perch alone.
