Oh I just love your Mickey Mouse, Basil - too cute for words

Wondering what happened if you tried a slightly "cooler ' version - I know the light is sometimes pink late afternoon and early morning but still worth a try.

I would also do a slight curve adjustment to bring more detail on the little one, make him stand out more.

Framing is better than in the previous image and the pose from Mafuta is just priceless, well seen and captured!!!

Thank you so much for sharing, appreciated

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Love the light here. Maybe crop some off the top. The pose is pretty neat.

Hi Basil - Agree that there is still a strong red cast to this. I like the seated pose and the ears out. Good suggestions by Gabriela to bring out more detail and texture. I would also crop some off the top.

Hi Basil -- To cute it is , loved the expression and pose.

I too agree with Gabriela , especially regarding the red cast and the framing, the ear of another elephant at the top left corner can be cropped off. I also see some noise in the BKG, shouldn't be an issue with the 1DX II .

    nice one.

    TFS !

Basil, unfortunately the previous comments caught my eye as I scrolled down ( I try to blank them out whenever possible), I have to agree the colours look rather pink but you will know better than me if that is how it was. I saw the noise and the stray ear also. In general I would suggest the image is a little bright and some tonal adjustments would enhance the presentation in my opinion.

Thank you everybody ! I never saw that ear...... I get what you are saying about the red/pink/warmth however I have already cooled it down slightly and it is just so hard to spend all day looking and waiting for that last light and then take some of it away in the finished product. I am going to have another go and repost it and see what you think. Thanks again

Lovely pose and clarity here, Basil. The pose and attitude are what makes this stand out.
I don't mind the colour as it can get really intense in these sunset moments.

Hi Basil, I think you can play more with the Exposure, especially on the subject & FG. Again, for me the colour looks OK for the time of day, but again less above, more below. Try to avoid being to close and get that 'shooting down' look and highlights shot from a vehicle. As the subject wasn't moving much then dropping the SS and a tad more of DoF I think on this one.
