This is an IR shot that was taken last Oct when I first got my IR camera. When I saw Alfred's posting of the Corkscrew Swamp it reminded me a lot of this photo, the pathway I guess....Anyway, I though that I would post it to see what you guys thought.

This is actually a really nice image Shelli! I'm one of those people who either loves or hates an IR image and I really like this!
The sky and the trees are beautiful but the bottom half of the image tends to lose my interest because of the monotone grayness. Have you thought about lightening up just the ramp so it stands out from the railing a bit in tone? Might add a little pop to the image and help draw your eye down the path.
I will try Julie...I am still learning CS3, layers etc.....I remember reading about how to do what u are suggesting..LOL...I'll give it a try! Thanks for the nice words!
Thank you Julie! I agree, much better! I don't know if I used the best CS3 way to accomplish it, but I did what I know and it worked....so.....thanks for the suggestion!!!! You made me go search and refresh some CS3 skills!!!
Hey Alfred! Thanks for posting! I'm new to photography and BPN so anytime you guys have a suggestion, critique, or comment...let me have it!! :-) That's the best way to learn!!!
Great image Shellie. Love the repost. Since I'm not well versed in cs3, I'm having difficulties with my ir images. Any good sites that you know regarding cs3 and ir images? Sure could use the help
Regards,
Thank you Oscar and Gus!!! Life Pixel has a good tutorial on post processing your IR images. Sometimes I use an action that someone had suggested to me called Brad's IR Action. If you google it you will find it, and its free! Sometimes the blues are a little off for my taste so then I will go back to doing it myself using Lifepixels channel swapping method. But it is a good quick way to get a peek at what the final image may look like.
