Shot in early morning light in this monsoon,bg is the opposite hill forest,wish a bit more head turn though.....

This is excellent Debapratim.
Great wing position and superb BG.
I agree with you about the head angle but still one heck of a shot.
I would reduce the luminosity or brightness of the yellows and the lower mandible. The way I do it is in LR. I reduce the yellows under the luminance tab in HSL panel.
You can also do a luminosity mask via Photoshop but I do not not how to do that.

That is a great Great Indian Hornbill image. Bummer that the bird was not flying slightly toward you rather than slightly away ... If you'd like, you can reduce the luminosity of the YELLOWs during the RAW conversion in Photoshop; Adobe Camera RAW also has an HSL tab. It looks pretty good to me. You might wish to eliminate the black defect on the top of the bill.

I am confused by this: "Shot in early morning light in this monsoon" Why do you say "monsoon"?

Great Hornbill indeed! I like the sharpness, BG, composition and wing position. A head turn or flight path towards you would have been ideal but I would still be happy with this in my files!

I do not think that Gail was talking about a color cast. I believe that she was suggesting that you might tone down the YELLOWs a bit using by dialing down the LUMINANCE of the YELLOW channel. Again, you ca do that during the RAW conversion on the HSL slider.

This is a really impressive image of a incredible bird. I also wish for a bit more head tilt but love the thrown wings and feather detail. The exposure is perfect and the background is dreamy!
