    Default European Bison calf

Hi all ...time for a short change from the bears ..from my side .
Going tomorrow to the Netherlands to revisit the Bison reserve ....less calves born this year , will see if i can find them . Will also see if i can find the foxes from last year at another location ...hope for the best .
As a reminder from last year ....
I do like the fact that the calf is framed by an adult and another calf ...wonder if you like this view ..too ? For sure not everybody´s cuppa.
Image taken at ISO 32.000 ....not too bad outcome , even when printed .
Might have taken down the SS ...to save more Iso ....just forgot to dial it down , as it was not necessary to have that speed , as animals did not move very fast .
    Dull rainy day ....

    Canon EOS 1Dx II
    EF 500 IS L

    F 8 ; Iso 32.000 ; 1/3200 sec ...man exp ; Auto Iso

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2018 ; cropped from RHS und top for composition to 75 of FF

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous thread .

    Cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas - I hope you find the bison in better light this year. Sorry but this isn't working for me, not my cuppa as you say. I just find it too tight and the front calf bothers me (much more so than the adult in the rear). Impressive though for the extremely high ISO. Agree you could have dropped the ss and ISO in the field.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Andreas, i am really impressed with IQ at Iso 32,000. But this frame is not working for me too as the bison in the front is blocking part of the subject. Hope you will get some more calf images on the upcomign trip.

Love the cute expression on the calf, but do agree with Rachel on the between framing here, agree with dropping your S/S here granted your ISO of 32,000 or was it 3200? Very nice quality all the same.

I like this one. The framing is pretty neat with the calf in between the other two bison. Image quality looks great for ISO 32,000.

    Hello Boetie Andreas,

Your calf is very cute, love the expression on its face. I am not too excited about the framing though, partly because of the OOF little chap in front of him and also because you had to cut his legs in half. I do like the presence of the adult in the BG though.

Colours look great and the high ISO is not obvious - I am very impressed! Nicely processed too, as expected:)

Hope you have an awesome trip to Netherlands and bring back lots of nice images. I really like foxes, hope you find them

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Andreas -- ISO 32K , incredible ! Liked the result at such a high iso , but framing not working for me either. Nicely processed though .

All the very best for your trip, hope you have great opportunities and light .

    TFS !
