    Sunbirds give me a lot of trouble to photograph as:
    - they hardly sit still.
    - -the iridescence on their feathers can look odd in direct sunlight.

    Luckily this one was out of the direct sunlight.


    The photo was taken near the Pafuri area of the Kruger National Park in South Africa.


    Taken hand-held with Canon 5D4; 500 F4; ISO 2000; F4.5; 1/400.

    Beautiful bird, but he is way too tight in the frame. A wider crop looks like it might be cluttered, so maybe that's why he's so boxed in.
    Wides crop will also help minimize the noise issue and hide the fact the image isn't perfectly sharp.

    Very pretty bird with good colours, and perched on a good thin perch. The crop is too tight and has also left the fine detail lacking, and the BG too messy. Thanks for sharing this beautiful bird, it's always a treat to see these "exotic" (for us) species.
