Here is Another frame of Ring Billed Gull taken at Yuba Lake State Park

Idea was to position the out of focus Gull and the Green Colors to make a pleasing image against Preening Ring Billed Gull.

This was made at sunset and I tried to reduce color cast if any.

    Nikon D850, 300 f/4 PF + 1.4x TCIII
    ISO 1000, f/5.6, 1/2000 sec
    Manual Mode, Matrix Metering

    Hope you like it.

    Thanks
    Krishna

I like the preening pose. The head angle here is much better than your previous image. Good low angle, well exposed, sharp. For me the BG does not add any value to the image and would be better left out. It is simply too far back thus too small to make a positive impact IMO.

I like this one a lot. Take Dan's idea to the next level and create a very nice pano. I love the soft light and tones and the narrow d-o-f.

Nice low angle and nice pose on the bird. Light looks nice as well.

In my opinion if you want to bring the 2nd gull into play you should crop the right-hand side. ( not further than the Gull's shadow)
This would draw one's eyes to the left.

However for my taste I would remove the 2nd gull as I find it distracting.
I do like the green band and warmer brown in your background.
