I am never happy if I have white or grey sky as the background but there are situations where it is inevitable. But in this case due to nice details and active pose, I think image overall works quite well. I think you have done PP quite well to tame the shadows.
Unlike Jay, I love white skies for flight :) There are never any shadows and a good EXP like the one you have here, allows for great underwing detail. In addition, the bird gave you a killer pose. The tail is a bit ragged but at least it is not banded :)

Sweet shot here William. Nice dynamic pose and well exposed. I like your crop as well. I would add a couple of points of black to the neutrals and blacks as the bird looks a touch thin to me. I find that is almost always necessary when shooting in that kind of light.
