I believe this is a juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk. Taken February 2017 in my back yard. It was attempting to rid my yard of a
rabbit or squirrel. I have found that Red-shouldered Hawks are the least skittish raptors in my area and the juveniles even less
so. I can't remember exactly but I was able to get pretty close. I was using my tripod as a monopod. I removed some out of
focus branches.

Neat eye and blood on the bill. The SQ crop works well here.
