    Default Cheetahs of the Kalahari

    Hello friends!

My studies are winding down and I am looking forward to both taking more photos and getting back into online critique!

This is a photo I took early one morning in the northern Nossob riverbed (KTP, Kgalagadi) in January 2018. We followed a female cheetah and her two cubs on the hunt for a couple of days, but she had a bad run of luck in bringing down a meal for them.

Loving the mood and morning light filtering across here Morkel with the added cub in semi-stalking mode to complete a fabulous scene.

Sweet light. Love the small in the frame cheetahs and how it show the environment here. The composition works very well.

Hi Morkel -- Great to see you posting again.

A lovely Cheetah scape. Beautiful light and the stalking pose is what makes the image for me. Nice tones as well . Beautifully done.

Awesome Morkel. Light is great. But also love the framing showing the environment. Pose of mom and cub. Everything works.

Hi Morkel - I like the small in frame animalscape and the placement within the frame. I only wish that the cheetahs were actually in that sweet light but probably so do you.

    Rachel

    Thanks for your comments, folks.
I too wish they had been in the light, alas, they kept to the shade.
