    Arash:

Lovely soft light, launching pose, eye contact, diagonal perch and leaning bird gives a sense of action besides the wing position itself. Soft background with just enough variation to look natural.

I wondered about a slightly different crop, more room in front, but it is very nice as presented, and probably the best choice.

    Cheers

I remember a few of your earlier shots of this beautiful bird. Exposure here looks perfect; pose is exquisite; great background. I also wish for a little flying room on the left, but that would create a squarish crop that I probably wouldn't like. So as Randy says, maybe you've made the best choice. A gorgeous frame no matter what.

Hi Arash, IQ is superb, i love this. I would wish for more room in front... Super details of both fluff and also the fine leg feathers, and that red eye is so sweet. what's the status of the population now?

Exquisite image Arash, as said, perfect in every way.
I also agree that the crop is about right.

Hi Ari, well timed for the pre take off, and this is really tack sharp. Excellent exposure and sharpness throughout, and the Kite pops nicely against your clean BG. Great eye too.

This fellow is similar to our Black Shouldered Kite, also with a bright red eye. Similar body size too.

Awesome! The raised wings look great, as does the eye. Terrific BG. Did you work on the bottom half of the perch? Seems to drop out of dof range rather bluntly.

Superb full wings up pose, and the little head turn really adds to the frame. Another vote here for a sliver more in front of the bird. Details perfect as always,

    Mike

This is a superb image! i remember you posting these kites a few years ago and wishing I could fly out to California to shoot with you!
Lovely take-off pose and the whites look so good.
