    Default Streaked Tuftedcheek - Colombia

The Streaked Tuftedcheek is a high-elevation species than resides in the Andes
from Venezuela to Bolivia. They are members of the Furnarid family, a neotropical
grouping that includes leaftossers, woodcreepers, horneros, foliage-gleaners,
treerunners, spinetails, and others. There are very few good photos of this species,
so I was hella stoked to get a clear view to this forest skulker.

I removed some distracting elements on the left/top side of the frame. As it was more
than 'minor' cloning, I feel obligated to show the original frame as well.

I would have loved to have more DOF, but that's not how it works in heavy cloud and
    rain - especially when handholding!

    Dorian,
A wonderful image. I especially like the bird's colour, sharpness and feather detail. The composition works for me with the bird placed between rock areas, which adds so much to the composition. Nice cloning!

Paul, Me-thinks that that is a tree :)

    Dorian,

Nice job with the clean-up. You might try a 50-pixel Gaussian Blur on the oof stuff above and left of the bird. LMK if you'd like help with that. Neat view of a neat bird that few if any of us here have seen or even hear of :) The head turn toward you is just what you needed with th ebird angled slightly away from you.

ps: I should have congratulated you on all the hard work that you put in at elevation ... Did you use any audio?

Thanks Artie. We used a lot of audio on the trip, mostly to pull out antpittas, antbirds, and other skulkers for purely birding purposes. This bird was actually with a feeding flock,
    so none was needed.

    Cheers!

What a great bird that I had never heard of until now!
    Good cloning work.
Love the way the bird is tucked into the angle of the tree branches.
IQ and HA are very nice!

A very well earned shot and an excellent result, I have never even heard of this bird so I find it doubly interesting to view.

Love how the bird is framed by the tree. Also love all that lichen. Neat looking bird and neat backstory.

Hi Dorian another unique bird, great pose, details, perch and BG. The only thing I 'm noticing is a little yellow/green hue to the image IMO,
I just adjusted the tone a bit I hope you don't mind.

Hi Dorian, well positioned in the field to have this fellow neatly posed in the V of the tree. I like the HA, and what strikes me most are all the various colours this guy has. Good cloning behind the bird. A subject I have never seen before.

Looking at you rendering, I tend to agree! I've cooled the fine down a bit, so thanks.
